Hi, I’m Anthie...
A fun-loving, adventurous mama of young boys, a beautiful Beagle girl and boy!
Heartfordshire Hounds was born soon after we brought our Lexi home. Having been made redundant from my very boring job in 2019 (due to Covid), I was forced to re-asses what I wanted to do with my career. I took a leap of faith, following my heart and started training as a dog groomer at Capel Manor. I began offering my dog walking service during lockdown and business began to seriously take off.
Two years down the line, having gained my dog boarding licence and achieving a bulging appointment book - my heart finally felt full. With an extended family of many many dogs (and meeting some fantastic humans too!), I can whole heartedly say that it was the best decision that I ever made.
At Hearfordshire Hounds, our ethos is simple:
"Hound is where the heart is".
Whether it's a one off sitting for a few hours, regular day care, grooming, or a place to stay for a night (or more!) - every single pooch becomes a part of my family; a part of my heart, and I can guarantee you - I treat every dog as my own.
